Yaiza began her journey in the dance world when she was only 3 years old, when she started her training in Flamenco and Jazz. At 9, she started with Classical technique, and at 12 opened up to urban dances.

Between the years 2011 and 2016 she joined Flamenco Ballet meanwhile she started her path along the latin dances. During that time she became part of a professional latin dance company, and began her preparation for competing solo.

In 2015, after a lot of work, she won the “Spain Latin Dance Cup” and, with it, the beginning of a long path of competitions where she would leave a mark.

Yaiza continues to score awards. She was runner-up in 2018, achieved 3rd place in 2019, and in 2022 in the World Championship “La Negra”; she was runner-up in 2019, and the winner in 2020 of the Salsanamá competition, in which she now serves as a judge, and she also became World Champion at Euroson Latino in 2022.

Considered one of the salsa masters, the style and body movement of Yaiza is unique, and a reference for countless dancers.
